Libraries in Haiti & Palestine: 2/25/14, 1pm

Committee for Columbia Library & Information Professionals
Brown Bag discussion on libraries and archvies in Haiti and Palestine
Tuesday, February 25th at 1pm in Butler Library room 523

Last summer, Vani Natarajan, along with a delegation of librarians and archivists, visited archives, libraries, and information sharing sites in Palestine. In January, Jenna Freedman traveled to Haiti with a small group of library and technology activists and visited a handful of libraries and education spaces. Their presentations will incorporate photographs and objects and will allow for ample discussion in an informal context.

Jenna (Women's Gender & Sexuality Studies and Zine Librarian) and Vani (Humanities and Global Studies Librarian) are both from the Barnard College Library. This event is hosted by CCLIP and Human Resources and will include coffee, tea, and refreshments; please bring your lunch!

Please RSVP to Ted Limpert if you are interested in attending.
