Barnard ERC and Columbia Celebrate GIS Day 2017

Wednesday, November 15, 2017
Columbia University, Barnard College

Barnard’s Empirical Reasoning Center and Columbia University are hosting GIS Day events on November 15! For those interested in the intersections between mapping, data, and urban planning, GIS Day provides an international forum for users of geographic information systems (GIS) technology to demonstrate real-world applications that are making a difference in our society. GIS is especially useful for architects and planners in understanding built environments and their occupants.

There will be a speaker series and Python workshop at Columbia, from 6-8PM, and a Treasure Hunt at Barnard at 8:15 - 9:30 PM.
