Histories of Architecture and Feminism Exhibit in the Barnard Archives

Through January 18, 2019
Archives and Special Collections Reading Room (Milstein 423)

Students from Anooradha Siddiqi's Fall 2018 course, Histories of Architecture and Feminism, are exhibiting selections of their research in the Archives and Special Collection's Reading Room. The course, which confronts questions of what it means to write histories of architecture and feminism, engages archival collections "to think about how evidence is mobilized in the construction of narratives, and to experiment with the development of 'feminist' and 'architectural' methods." You're invited to experience some of the materials students grappled with while asking these questions.

Materials from Professor Siddiqi's class are laid out on a window sill, available for the exhibit's visitors to peruse.
