Cristina Fontánez Rodríguez will speak about her recent research into the balance between archival principles and social justice in the maintenance of state surveillance files on Puerto Rican independence supporters and activists at the Archivo General de Puerto Rico.

Cristina Fontánez Rodríguez is a recent graduate of the Queens College Graduate School of Library and Information Studies, a current Barnard Archives graduate fellow, and an intern at the Democracy Now! archives.
