Fall 2018 Open Workshops: October, 26, 1:00 to 2:00pm, Introduction to Data Analysis in Excel; October 26, 2:30 to 4:00pm, Introuction to R;, November 9, 1:30 to 3:00pm, Introduction to Python; November 9, 3:00 to 4:30pm: Introduction to GIS (Geographical Information Science) and Spatial Data; November 16, 1:00 to 2:30pm Exploring Census Data with Excel/Social Explorer. The Empirical Reasoning Center will be offering a series of open workshops on using software to think critically about organizing, analyzing, and visualizing data. This includes qualitative, quantitative, and/or geospatial data. Workshops will be offered in Excel, R, Python, and QGIS. We will also offer a workshop focused specifically on downloading and exploring Census Data.

All of these workshops are beginner workshops so you do not need any familiarity with the software to attend! Workshops will be held in 102 Milstein Center at Barnard College. They have limited attendance, so they will be on a first come, first serve basis.
