MANAGER OF AUDIOVISUAL TECHNOLOGY SERVICES

Reporting to the Director of Instructional Media and Technology Services, this administrative staff position will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of audiovisual technology services and the management, maintenance, and inventory of the College's audiovisual system and technology for classroom and event spaces. The Manager will participate in the planning and design of audiovisual technology systems for new or renovated college spaces and will be responsible for developing and overseeing all audiovisual technology support services. He or she will meet and communicate regularly with colleagues from Events Management, Information Technology, the Registrar, Student Life, Facilities, and other departments to ensure the audiovisual technology needs of the College are met. The Manager will recruit, hire, supervise, and schedule a staff of 4 full-time and 1 part-time and will also oversee the hiring and management of 11-20 student workers. Will oversee routine checks of multimedia classrooms and other campus venues to ensure that equipment is in working order and will monitor and resolve classroom or other equipment-related technical problems. He or she will also: assist with all facets of the audiovisual design process; manage the checkout of equipment to College constituencies for course-related work or College-related events; and prepare reports on equipment inventory, usage, scheduling, and budgeting.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with 3-6 years of experience providing audiovisual support for presentations and events preferably in a higher education setting with demonstrated supervisory experience. Must be able to understand and meet the needs of the campus community by delivering well-planned, quality audiovisual technology and support services in a timely and accurate manner. He or she should have thorough understanding of current media systems and equipment, including but not limited to Crestron and Extron control systems. Should have excellent communication skills, both oral and written; solid technical skills and an aptitude for troubleshooting, adjusting, and repairing audiovisual equipment; a record of providing excellent customer service; experience in managing multiple complex projects; and the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively. He or she should have Knowledge of web, video, and audio conferencing, video production and post-production, video streaming, and specialized equipment for classroom use.
