Barnard senior Chava Lansky was recently selected for the highly competitive 2017 Junior Fellows Summer Intern Program at the Library of Congress.
The Junior Fellows Program is designed to give students a view into the inner-workings of this vast collection; "to experience the integrated analog and digital collections and services of the world's largest, all-inclusive library." Also, "fellows work closely with Library curators and specialists," and explore "copyright, preservation, reference, access, and information technology. In the past, summer fellows have identified hundreds of historical, literary, artistic, cinematic and musical gems representing the Library’s rich cultural, creative and intellectual assets."
Lansky, a dance major, will be working on the Martha Graham Collection, focusing on early Graham dancer Pearl Lang's collection, organizing the materials and creating a finding aid.
