Quincy Williams is the new Daytime Access Services Assistant at the Barnard College Library. Previously, Quincy worked for 5 years as a circulating collections supervisor with the Library for the Performing Arts, and for 20 years in total with New York Public Library. In a variety of other roles/environments, he has strong experience with customer service and conflict resolution, library software programming, patron and item record editing, reserves processing, shipment processing and allocation, and other related duties. He says is excited to assist us in multiple ways and even more excited to learn from us--as we are from him!
Outside of work Quincy is looking forward to the opportunity to dive into computer networking and security, and has a longstanding relationship with music: singing, songwriting, and composing. He loves jazz and several other music genres. His love of reading and buildings with books has him treating The Strand as a site for decompression, like someone else might use a bar. He is currently reading Vanishing New York: How a Great City Lost Its Soul by Jeremiah Moss.
Please join us in welcoming Quincy to the BLAIS team.
