The Barnard Library Circulation/Reserves Desk, where both circulating and reserve items are checked out, is on the first floor of the LeFrak Center (see floorplan below).
To borrow library materials, it is necessary to present a current ID from Barnard College, Columbia University, Teachers College, or Union Theological Seminary.

Each semester, instructors submit lists of items that are in high demand for their courses, and these are removed from the stacks and kept in the reserves area. They circulate for shorter loan periods than regular circulating items. Request Course Reserves materials at the Circulation/Reserves Desk.

The Barnard Library in the LeFrak Center is wheelchair accessible via the ramp on the south side of Barnard Hall (to your left when you enter the gates at 117th and Broadway).
