Leave distracting devices at home or silent in your bag and focus on reading your book, zine, printed poems/short stories, or book on your e-reader or accessible device. This is a reading-focused event meant to experiment with devoting time and space to the thrill of sustained quiet reading. E-readers and devices necessary for accessibility are great, but quiet leisure reading is the goal. Leisure reading is encouraged!
Maybe you’ll bring something from the zine library or a print book you found in CLIO or NYPL. You can stay a while at the end to chat about what you read if you like (but no pressure!). Tea and light snacks available.
Registration here is encouraged but not required to attend.
