Mendeley Guide

Getting Started

Mendeley is a free citation software manager that can be used for managing citations, annotating and storing documents, organizing research, and collaborating with others online.

Here is a tutorial for doing the basics in Mendeley on a PC or on a Mac.

Go to www.mendeley.com to sign up for an account and download the Mendeley Desktop (to your personal computer). Mendeley is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.

You can also access your Mendeley library on the web or on your iPad or iPhone. You can sync the work you do online with your Mendeley Desktop to keep all of your work up to date, no matter how many computers or devices you work on!

Mendeley does a better job of describing their features, so go here to learn more!

So you've decided to try Mendeley out?

Great!

Once you've set up an account, check out the document from the Mendeley Support Team in your Mendeley library. It will explain how to get started using Mendeley. In case you want a sneak peak, you can reference it here.

For more questions or for help getting started, don't hestitate to contact Charlotte Price, Research & Instruction Librarian for the Performing Arts (and Mendeley fan).
