Christina Juste ’22, BLAIS Student Staff Associate for the Barnard FLI Partnership Library, and Kristen Hogan, Interim Co-Dean and Director of Collections Strategy and Library Operations, presented at the first virtual meeting of Core: Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures, a new division of the American Library Association. Their presentation was titled “Student Organizer & Library Partnerships for Textbook Access: First-Generation and Low-Income Textbook Library at Barnard College.”
Christina and Kristen facilitated a choose-your-own-adventure workshop to share tools from the Barnard FLI Library, the evolution of the collection, and its impact on course reserves. They also shared changes from moving to online classes in the spring of 2020 – and into the future.
