Monica McCormick
Monica comes to Barnard after four years as Associate University Librarian for Publishing, Preservation, Research & Digital Access at the University of Delaware. At Delaware, she provided strategic and operational direction for four departments — Library IT, Digital Collections and Preservation, Digital Scholarship and Publishing, and the University of Delaware Press — and led the design, development, management, and support of current and emerging library-based digital initiatives, repository services, scholarly communication, and research data services.
Prior to the University of Delaware, Monica spent nine years as Program Officer for Digital Scholarly Publishing at New York University, where she developed strategies and led services for digital publishing and managed collaborative projects between Libraries and NYU Press. She earned her MSLS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her B.A. in history from Carleton College.
